What You Can Expect From Five Point Cannabis Events
Every event is different, so there is no single format that applies to everything we host or participate in. Some activities may be educational, while others may focus more on creativity, community, product discovery, or social interaction.
The goal is to create experiences that are useful, interesting, and relevant to the people who visit Five Point Cannabis.
Educational Experiences
Education can be an important part of the cannabis community. People may have questions about cannabis products, product formats, cannabinoids, responsible use, or other related subjects.
Where educational events are available, they can provide an opportunity to learn in a more interactive environment and hear information directly from knowledgeable participants.
Learn at Your Own Pace
Not everyone has the same level of cannabis knowledge. Some visitors may already be familiar with different product categories, while others may still be learning the basics.
Events can provide an approachable environment where people can explore topics and ask questions without needing to already have extensive knowledge.
Explore New Topics
An event may introduce a topic you have not previously explored. Taking the opportunity to learn something new can make a regular visit more interesting and provide useful information you can carry forward.
Keep Learning About Cannabis
Cannabis products and the wider industry continue to develop. Staying informed and approaching new information thoughtfully can help customers make more informed decisions.
Creative and Community Events
Creativity is another important part of the Five Point Cannabis community. Our artists and creative features give customers an opportunity to discover different forms of visual expression, and events can provide an additional way to connect with creative people.
Creative events may involve artists, designers, photographers, or other members of the local creative community, depending on the event.
Meet Local Creators
Events can create a direct connection between artists and the people who experience their work. Meeting a creator can provide a different perspective on their artwork and the ideas behind it.
Discover Different Perspectives
Every creator has a different background and approach. An event can introduce you to ideas and creative styles you may not otherwise encounter.
Support Local Creativity
Participating in local creative events can help strengthen connections between Calgary artists, businesses, and community members.
Why Attend a Local Cannabis Event?
People attend events for many different reasons. Some want to learn, some want to meet people, and others simply enjoy experiencing something different from their normal routine.
A Five Point Cannabis event can offer an opportunity to combine several of these experiences in one local setting.
Discover Something New
An event can introduce you to a product, artist, idea, or topic that you may not have discovered otherwise. Even a short visit can provide something interesting to take away.
Meet People With Shared Interests
Events bring together people who may have a shared interest in cannabis, creativity, community, or the particular theme of the event. These shared interests can make it easier to start conversations and form new connections.
Make Your Visit More Meaningful
Instead of simply arriving, shopping, and leaving, an event gives you a reason to spend more time engaging with the environment and the people around you.
Enjoy the Experience
Ultimately, events are about creating positive opportunities for people to connect, discover, and enjoy something together.

AMANDA LINGWOOD
I have been drawing my entire life and working as a professional artist for over a decade, finding endless inspiration in the quiet rhythms of nature. What began at a small corner desk in my apartment has grown into a life’s work rooted in intention, botanical magic, and a deep reverence for detail.
I now create from my home studio in Calgary, Alberta, blending the landscapes of my two homes: the wild coast of British Columbia, where I grew up, and the expansive prairies of Alberta, where I’ve spent most of my life.
My practice began as a personal wellness ritual and has become a steady anchor in a world I once struggled to keep up with. Learning to slow down and follow what feels meaningful and enlightening allows me to translate the way I see the world into visual form. My process is highly tactile and layered, building depth through careful mark-making and material exploration to create pieces that feel alive.
Botanical Illustrations
Moody nature illustrations inspired by herbal wellness, foraging, and the overlooked details of the natural world.
Curator of the forgotten.
RYLEE SPADA
A self-taught visual artist based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Her work is rooted in the idea of escapism, inviting viewers to lose themselves in the beauty and wonder of the world around them. Drawing inspiration from nature and everyday moments, Rylee explores the dynamic interactions between visual elements that shape our perception of light, colour, and movement. Using traditional techniques, she brings whimsical visions to life through contemporary artwork that captures emotion and flow.
